A few things to know before we get started. These policies apply to the one-on-one mentoring services provided by Soukup Studios. By making a purchase, you confirm that you have read and agree to these policies. They’re here to make sure we're both clear on what you can expect from your mentoring experience, how we'll work together, and what happens if plans need to change.
Payment Terms
Payment is required at the time of booking unless an alternative payment plan has been agreed in advance.
Where a payment plan has been agreed, each payment must be made according to the agreed schedule. Failure to make a scheduled payment may result in future sessions being paused or cancelled until the account is brought up to date.
Student Commitment
Mentorship is a collaborative process. Students understand that their progress is directly related to the time, effort, practice, and engagement they bring to the program, both during and between sessions.
Package Timeframes
Mentorship packages must be completed within the following timeframes:
4-session package: within 4 months of the first session
8-session package: within 8 months of the first session
12-session package: within 12 months of the first session
Unused sessions expire at the end of the applicable package period and are non-refundable.
Scheduling & Frequency
Mentorship sessions are limited to one meeting per week to allow adequate time for homework, practice, and integration between sessions, while also accommodating all program participants.
Sessions may be scheduled in advance or as needed, although scheduling ahead is encouraged to maintain consistency and momentum.
Session availability is not guaranteed, particularly when booking on short notice.
Rescheduling & Missed Sessions
Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice.
Sessions missed, canceled, or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice are considered used and are non-refundable, as that time has been reserved exclusively for the student.
In the event of an emergency or exceptional circumstance, accommodations may be made at Jill's discretion.
Instructor Cancellations
If Jill needs to cancel or reschedule a session, the student will be offered a replacement session, and the canceled session will not count against the student's package.
Communication Between Sessions
Brief questions and communication between sessions are welcome; however, substantive critiques, demonstrations, or feedback requiring significant time are reserved for scheduled mentorship sessions.
Homework & Materials
Students are responsible for completing and submitting agreed-upon homework, artwork, or reference materials according to the submission guidelines provided. Completing homework is strongly encouraged in order to receive the greatest benefit from each session.
Session Recordings & Educational Materials
Mentorship sessions may be recorded for the student's personal review. Your agreement to this policy provides consent for this. However, if you would prefer now or at any point in the program for sessions not to be recorded, please notify Jill in writing.
Session recordings will remain available to the student for the duration of their mentorship package and will be removed approximately one month after the final mentoring session.
Students retain ownership of their own artwork and creative work. Any handouts, demonstrations, recordings, videos, or other instructional materials provided through the mentorship program remain the intellectual property of Jill/Soukup Studios and are intended for the enrolled student's personal educational use and may not be copied, distributed, published, or shared without permission.
Program Changes or Termination
Jill reserves the right to discontinue a mentorship relationship in cases of inappropriate, abusive, or disrespectful behaviour, repeated non-attendance, non-payment, or where the mentorship is no longer a productive or appropriate fit. If Jill ends the mentorship, any remaining unused sessions will be refunded.
Refunds & Transfers
Mentorship packages are non-refundable. In the event of an emergency or exceptional circumstance, accommodations may be made at Jill’s discretion.
Mentorship packages and sessions are intended for the enrolled student and may not be transferred to another person.
Students are encouraged to ask any questions before enrolling to ensure the program is a good fit.
Nothing in these policies is intended to limit or exclude any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived in your country or region.
